The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The assistance point designed for intervention ordeals a high influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to help the servicing of all customers and improve entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
